Crochet Threads and more

Materials:
48 pcs. Butterfly-shaped spangles
2 beads for drawstring (with holes big enough to fit through thread)
Size 10 cotton thread (60 yds)
Size 7 steel hook

Finished size: base = 3 inches in diameter
height = 7 inches

Note: String on 48 pcs. spangles. Always start round with chain 2 (counts as first hdc); always join each round.

Starting at base, chain 4. Join with sl st to form a ring.

Round 1 – Chain 2. 7 hdc in ring.

Round 2 - Chain 2. 1 hdc in same st. 2 hdc in each st. and in each st.

Round 3 to 5 - 2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next. Repeat, ending with 1 hdc.

Round 6 – 1 hdc in each st

Round 7 - 2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next. Repeat, ending with 1 hdc.

Round 8 – 1 hdc in each st. Join. Turn.

Netting:
Round 9 – Chain 7. Sc in every 5th chain across. End with chain 4 then treble crochet at the base of starting chain.

Round 10 – * Chain 7. Sc in 4th chain of loop in previous round adding butterfly in thread over to complete sc. Chain 7. Sc in 4th chain of next loop.* Repeat* to * until 8 butterflies are added in the round. Chain 4 then treble crochet in top of treble crochet in previous round.

Round 11 – Chain 7. Sc in 4th chain of next loop. Repeat ending with chain 4 then treble crochet in top of treble crochet in previous round.

Round 12 – Repeat Round 10.

Round 13 – Repeat Round 11.

Round 14 – Repeat Round 10.

Round 15 – Repeat Round 11.

Round 16 – Repeat Round 10.

Round 17 – Repeat Round 11.

Round 18 – Repeat Round 10.

Round 19 – Repeat Round 11.

Round 20 - Repeat Round 10.

Round 21 to 23 – Repeat Round 11. TURN.

Round 24 – 5 hdc in treble crochet of previous round. * In next loop, 5 hdc, Picot (chain 3 sl st in base), 5 hdc. Repeat * ending with 5 hdc and Picot. Join on top of chain 2 (first hdc). Fasten off and weave in ends.

Drawstring:
Chain 100. Leave 3-4 inches tail in each end. Weave through under shells of last round. Add bead on both ends of tail. Tie to secure bead. Do this 2 times for the pouch. Trim tail.

Let me check if I still have some more left. What color do you need? I think I have lavender, pink, aqua, yellow and red.
